Border Collie

On the Job

Border Collie watching sheep, taken from a public domain photo.

Sketches of border collies and sheep

I love border collies, maybe it's their look, black and white and their wonderful expressions, not to mention that they are very hard workers.

This and that

A little of this and that, a fox I saw while driving on the road along the dunes, Lewes Beach. I stopped and made a quick thumbnail to remember it, and then painted using gouache.   Backyard feeding at my house using jet pens,  and Annie, relaxing in her favorite spot, the sofa. (graphite)

Red Moon Silhouette

Red Moon Silhouette

On my evening winter walks with my dogs, I am fascinated with the clarity of the moon and stars.  It's as if I could reach them and pull one down.  I recently read about the lunar eclipse whereby the earth comes between the moon and the sun giving it a red glow.  This painting done in acryllic, 11x14.

Chickadee

I have been trying to post for over a month now.  Finally, tonight for some unknown reason I was able to.  I am still having problems posting on other blogs.

The chickadees are one of my favorite birds.  This painting done in pastel.
