Wolf sketch
pencil
This sketch is from a photo I took at The Wolf People in Washington. It is a sanctuary for wolves. I have been working on a pastel but wanted to post something since it has been a while.

  1. Hi Suzy,
Once again your have achieved a sense of movement. It's as though the wolf is interested the person snapping his picture. A very difficult perspective, and you have nailed it with your great drawing ability. Well done!

  2. Hi Sue! ... Glad to see you back on line posting!

A nice sketch... not an easy "coming at you" pose to get all of the foreshortened elements working together harmoniously! You've succeeded admirably!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  4. Hi Bruce,

Thank you, I appreciate your comments very much. I am working on a large pastel, and it is time consuming so I just wanted to break away and do a pencil sketch.

    Good painting to you Bruce!

  6. Hi Vic,

Thank you. I had trouble posting one night on your blog, it showed up as an error. Then when I checked the next day it was there.

    Best to you Vic,

    Sue

  8. Hi Hilda,

Thank you for your comments. I just got back from a workshop with Lesley Harrison and the class did a painting of puppies. Lots of fun. Now that I am back I can catch up on visiting blogs. I enjoy yours very much Hilda.
