Bird in hand, sea otter, osprey

When visiting my cousin Joan on Long Island, oftentimes I go to my favorite birding place. It is Morton Wildlife Refuge, a birders delight! The sketch is from a photo taken while the little chickadee sat in my hand to get a peanut. It was truly being next to nature.

  8. Very nice drawings. As a birder you may be interested in knowing there is a new Nikon camera out. I think it is 12Meg but the birder advantage is that it has 37X optical zoom. And the price is something like $400.

  9. Hi there Sue!..."One in the hand... is worth two in the bush", they say! This sketch certainly supports that fact and sensitively captures a moment and thrill that we outdoor folk treasure!

Well done... both "You"... and cousin Joanie!

    Good sketching... and birding!
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving wishes to "You" and yours!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce
