Red Moon Silhouette

Red Moon Silhouette

On my evening winter walks with my dogs, I am fascinated with the clarity of the moon and stars.  It's as if I could reach them and pull one down.  I recently read about the lunar eclipse whereby the earth comes between the moon and the sun giving it a red glow.  This painting done in acryllic, 11x14.

  1. Sue, this is outstanding. It could be on the cover of a story book. A wonderful illustration. Great job.

  2. Thank you Joanie! It was lots of fun doing this one. I love your sky study, just beautiful and also the study waiting for the snowstorm.

  4. Hi there Sue!... I love this deeply evocative moment that you have recorded here so vividly in simplicity... yet with much visual strength! A gem!

I share the feelings that you eloquently offered. Being "out there"... looking... listening... and learning to feel one's place in this marvellous world we are blessed to live in! You understand... and your art tells me so!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce
