Polar Bear
I have been practicing polar bears as I have never painted one before. I want to do a pastel (16x20) on velour paper. What I have learned about this wonderful mammal is that its dense, waterproof coat helps it survive the lowest temperatures on the earth. Tracks have been seen a few miles from the North Pole.

  1. Hi Sue.
This is another of your wonderful paintings of Animals. You can certainly see that it is a Bear. Even his stance tells you so. Well done Sue and all the best.

  3. Hi Sue!.... This one's... coming at you for sure! A very difficult straight on view with considerable foreshortening difficulties as well! "You" handled it all very skillfully!

Love the use of "Greco" texturing... as is always the case!

Good luck with the pastel version... I'll be staying tune to catch that one!

    Good Paintitng... and Pasteling!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

I got a chuckle out of the "Greco" texturing. The pastel will be a challenge. As always thank you for your comments and support. Best to you Bruce.
